Where are people most comfortable meeting?

My wife and I have been to a swingers club twice. Experience 1 was great, it was a newbies night at F42 In Sydney. It was a pretty chill atmosphere and was slow to kick off but we both got to play with an amazing couple. #2 was ordinary, not much happening and just played together. Wife is quite reserved and isn't super social, where I will talk to everyone, this makes things a little awkward meeting people. Which is why a club seems to work well for us. Any thoughts appreciated.
