Silicone Toys

October 04 2025

I’ve purchased a few toys, over the years. Which has been great and fun. But lately when I’ve used a few of the new ones and I’m getting an itching sensation. I use the lube, toy wash. I get tested for STIs. I’m stopped using them for a while and the itching stops.

My guess is I’m allergic to silicone ?? Someone suggested putting a condom on it … but anyway, has anyone else had the same problem? Or is it just me with a sensitive vag?

I love silicone toys, never had that problem. Everyone's different though!

How old are the toys??? Wifey has noticed some of her older ones had started to feel different like the silicon is breaking down, so she just throws them out rather than risk anything. If in doubt!!!

when i purchased some the sales person told me to clean them immediatly after use and let them dry before putting them away as they can degrade, so maybe that is the issue

I haven't been able to use silicone based products for years. It's a fairly common sensitivity.

Also is your lube silicone based? You shouldn't use silicone based lube with silicone toys. Silicone sensitivity is a thing though.

check the lube you are using, you might have a sensitivity to a particular type of lube...
