Any recommendations on which one should we go first? We have heard of pineapples bar and shed 16. Where could we find more people around 20-30 years old?

Pineapple Bar very much cater to couples night out with shows etc, there are not many singles.
Between Friends have under 35 night and newbies night about once a month.
Both places are near the city and a great and provide a safe environment to start.
