Friend requests

Hi, anyone able to tell me the point of friends in RHP please? What’s the difference with messaging people? I get loads of friend requests from people who have not even messaged me so I’m a bit puzzled. Thank you😘

I guess people use them in different ways.

We'd never accept a request from someone we don't know... Our friends are all people we've met.

As for the point - you get an idea of the circles someone runs in...? A way to keep connected to people...?

How I see it, men who are guests use it to get Womans attention hoping she will message them because they are a guest and can not message.

Could not agree more, we get a profile view, a like, a friend request, then like all our profile photos but live on the other side of the country, we've never chatted and highly doubt you are going to fly 6 hours for a bit of fun.

I can't tell you exactly as I don't do it personally, but my hunch is that it is a fun little way men have found to game the system a little bit. If you are a guest account then you can't see if someone "Likes" your profile, so instead of sending a like to someone who will never know, they send a friends request, assuming that if you accept it then they should send a message as you are interested.
Just my thoughts if someone else wants to jump in and add their 2 cents.

I have nearly 200 friend requests just sitting there...if I haven't met you then I won't accept.

Its so strange when they send request without even attempting to say hi in a message in my opinion.

Friends are handy when you meet someone at an event, then a few months later you can’t remember their username to send them a message.

Also kinda handy to know if someone knows the same people as you. Helps to establish a bit more trust I think.

Sending friend requests when you haven’t met someone is silly. I think it’s mostly guys who are desperate for any form of female attention.

Not something to overthink too much. It’s pretty reasonable that many would think a ‘friend request’ means “will you be my friend?”
And, sure, others want the visibility I’d guess.

No pattern in my friend list. Sometimes I just want to keep looking at their beautiful pictures! Sure there’s IRL but let’s face it even real life friends can’t be available 24/7 for my viewing pleasure

As already mentioned, I find I receive a lot of friend requests from men who are guests and unable to message. Or if someone has a limited amount of messages per day with their subscription and don’t want to waste a message if I am not interested, they send a friend request to see if I accept and take that as a sign that I am interested, so then they will message. I will only accept a friend request if we have been engaging in chat and/or have actually met. If I see a man has heaps of female ‘friends’ on here it doesn’t make me more interested in chatting with him. Quite the opposite actually, but that’s just me. Everyone uses friend requests differently I’m sure.

We only accept friend requests from people we have actually met. The rest get declined.

Its a streamline feature on RHP that lets you know who to block without evwn needing to look at their profile.

It's also a very handy tool to weed out fake profiles. If you get a friend request from a stanger, go to their profile and block every profile on their friend list. Only fake profiles accept cold call friend requests 😛

It's sad that lots of those profiles make hard for genuine guys with genuine intention.my profile is premium and validated and still finding hard to get respond back just because most of couples and females are bombarded with crap

Agree they are largely pointless. Sometimes I accept them from guest members (I’m also I guest) ..I figure if that person eventually gets a paid membership it’s easier to connect if we are friends

I don’t get it. What’s the point of it? I don’t even accept them. I’ve just left them on requested that’s it. I get buckets of them but I see no point in them.
