Find a Date Option

October 22 2025

Hey all, we aren't newbies but don't head off with anyone either. We've never used the find a date option and are wondering how people manage the potential influx of people all looking to meet up on the 1 night. We are in Melbourne 6-9 November and want to meet up and potentially play but also unsure how best to find the right couple for the 1 night. Any advice?

Suggest you put up the date and see how it goes. Also look at events in Melbourne

Last time we were in Melbourne we had 11 potential meets and 11 ghostings. We are heading down this week and are going to have 100% success as we have not organised one haha. We are going to try out Between Friends but have never picked up anyone in that kind of space before.
If you figure out how to make datefinder work for you please come back and write a how to :)

I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket as people can get flaky very easily. Especially coming from interstate. There are a few clubs in Melbourne, Between Friends Wine Bar and a new one opening this weekend called Pineapple Bar. Will also recommend looking at events on the events page.
    Good luck

Hubby and I have had success with them. We have made the connections via messages prior to the trip. Have also done calls through rhp messages to verifiy they are real etc.

If and when we are travelling, going away on holiday, overnighting somewhere, we have put up a travel plan and also a datefinder.

We have found both to be a waste of time. Generally people did not read it thoroughly, they ignored what we wrote and what our preferences were. Many also simply ghosted / did not turn up .

What did work, is that if we were travelling to Adelaide for a holiday, we would (a few days before) set our profile location to Adelaide and then also add a travel plan etc .

Hell No!!!! Personally I would never approach or commit to a travelling couple.

I decided not to meet them because of a few bad experiences. All the efforts of shuffling your appointments, other commitments, travelling etc goes in vain

    1. When you realise the couple (lady) is completely drunk and could not even walk lol. #bottomsup

    2. Couples invite more than 3 guys on same day different time to pick the better one, as they playing smart to not waste their time. #interview

    3. A few others simply change their plans at last moment. Can’t blame them coz they are here for holidays.

Had to say NO to even genuine travelling couples ☺️

Date finder can be pretty hit and miss. I find people express interest but then never message or respond to my messages to them. If you are coming to Melbourne I would check out between friends and the new pineapple lifestyles bar, depending on your dates. You'll find what you are looking for there in a no pressure social environment, with the ease of just taking things upstairs if you click.
