Curious and a bit frustrated

We are, as our name suggests, a curious couple looking to spice things up in the bedroom but we seem to be having trouble finding couples that are looking for the same thing as us.
We’ve noticed there is very much a type of couple that is very common on here.
Non smokers, social drinkers, straight man and bisexual lady.
We’re looking for a both straight, non smoking couple. We like to meet before we play and share a face pic or two before meeting to make sure there is an attraction before we meet up. There’s no point meeting if we don’t see an attraction, not interested in wasting everyone’s time.
We’re ultimately looking for a friends with benefits type situation for ongoing, semi-regular fun but would like to start with same room, same partner play until we all feel comfortable enough to go further.

We’ve been to Infusions a few times but most there are after instant gratification on the night, which is totally understandable.
And, we have met a few great couples but they all live quite far from us and so meet ups are few and far between.

We can’t seem to find many looking for the same thing as us.

Our questions for you all are...
Are we asking for too much?
Are we being too picky?
Is what we’re looking for too niche maybe?
Are other couples experiencing the same difficulties as us?

We’re putting up a flag here and very interested in everyone’s thoughts on this.

Finding a couple that are both straight, mainly the woman, is very rare. We’ve met with a few couples that have a bisexual woman, and we’ve clearly communicated ground rules on what Mrs will and won’t do, and for the most part they’ve been more than fine with it.

What about going to private parties instead of SOP venues? The parties are far more intimate, and give you the opportunity to connect much better.

At least half the “bi” women on here are straight or curious (but straight). Just let others know you’re only wanting straight play. The bi ladies aren’t going to attack you ha ha

It’s a logistical nightmare trying to get all members of the couple together for multiple social meets with no guarantee you’ll get along so I feel you. That’s why social events can be good. There’s no pressure to play, even at play parties of you’re not feeling it. But yeah maybe lower your expectations 😜 you’re basically saying you want to take things slow but are frustrated that things are slow

You have infusions/103, and I’d prefer 103 for meeting singles/couples. Can be a mixed bag of who attends, so be patient. I prefer themed nights.

Then you’ve got the actual events: 3sm or partyorg I can recommend. Hedonism is more the “Instagram” crowd. I was not impressed with Dreamkitty. Risqué looks great but might be a bit too exclusive.

There aren’t many actual meet and greets (non play parties). I used to run some and maybe it’s time again to do that. A few organisers have left that space.

“Private” parties will not generally be advertised. It’s “who you know”. That doesn’t make them better, but at the same time will often be the best parties. Purely because you’ll likely know at least a few people.

I'm a bit confused, you are both straight and looking for M/F couples but won't entertain the thought of a couple if the woman identifies as bisexual? Just because someone identifies that way, doesnt mean that they are intent on the women playing. You should be having a discussion with people about what you are looking for, your hard and soft limits anyway, so stating that you are both straight and only looking for same room or partner swapping is perfectly fine and will be respected. No woman is going to be unable to control herself in that situation and still try and jump you, especially knowing your boundaries.
